I recently deleted a post on this forum. It was deleted because it was basically a press release. We do have a policy on press releases and it is as follows. You are
allowed to do up to 3 press releases per year IF you are an advertiser
with Bench-Talk.com, otherwise they are not allowed. To allow them as regular posts from non-advertisers
would be unfair to our paying advertisers.
That does not mean you can't recommend a product. If some one were to ask what a good product was for a need and someone replied with the name of a product, that is fine. What's not fine, is sales copy from the product's website and links to the site, and text in the post that is better left to sales brochures.
Astroturfing takes away from the value of this forum and will not be allowed.
